Frequently Asked Questions

Check-in & Check-out times

Check-in 2pm

Check-out 12pm

If you would like to have a late check out or early check in that is an extra $5/hr.

Can we bring our golf cart, UTV, fourwheeler, moped, etc?

Unfortunately, no.  We are a decent size campground but only allow our seasonal to have golf carts.  Take you time here at Hoffman Lake Camp.

What is the lock site fee?

You are making your reservation and its asking you if you would like to lock you site in.  What this is saying is if you want THAT EXACT SITE not just a full hook-up etc. site you will want to lock it in.  That will guarantee you get M2 or so on.  Are you camping with a group? You will want to lock those sites in so you don't get moved from your circle or friends.  Why would I get moved if I don't pay the fee.  Say you are a 22' travel trailer in a water & electric site that could accommodate a 34' fifth wheel.  What our system will do it possibly move you to a site that would better fit your camper and not the 34' trailer.  But, if you lock your site in the system will see that you want that EXACT site and it won't rearrange our grid.

Can we bring our dog(s)?

We love family dogs! Bring them along and let them enjoy the great memories here at HLC.  Just make sure to pick up after your dogs.  No one likes to find that kind of surprise on their shoes.

Why is there a guest fee?

Have friends in the area that want to come join the fun?  That's great! But, they will need to pay for a visitors fee. UGH! WHY?!  Well, more people in the park means more utilities are being used, water, trash, pool, playground, parking, etc.  Also, the safety of all our guest is very important to us and we always need to know who is in our park in case of an emergency.

OH NO! We have to cancel. What happens now?

We require a 2 week or more notice on all campsites to receive a user credit minus the cancellation fee of $10. Our cabins require a 30 day notice. Any cancellation with the time frame will not be credited to the account.  You can however edit your dates to another time for no charge.  We are not responsible of any weather that is coming into the area or that has previously passed through.  If a site needs to be changed because of weather that is at the owners desertion.

What is the boat ramp fee for?

That is used to keep the ramp area nice and clean for our guest, a place to park your boat and trailer and if need be to stock the lake.

What's with the no rugs/mats rule?

This was something we had to implement at the end of last year because you guys loved our campground so much.  Thank you! But the rugs and mats made a huge problem with our grass.  Rugs would be placed in the same spot that the last person had one and then it would kill what little there was left.  We will ask for you to pick them up and if not there will be a fee for the damage that is done.  So please just respect our rule and enjoy your time.
